Flexor digiti minimi

  • The flexor digiti minimi brevis (also flexor digiti minimi brevis, latin: musculus flexor digiti minimi brevis) is a muscle of the sole of the foot.

    The flexor digiti minimi brevis originates from the base of the fifth metatarsal bone and the long plantar ligament. The flexor digiti minimi brevis inserts at the base of the proximal phalanx of the fifth digit (little toe).

    The function of the flexor digiti minimi brevis is flexing the little toe.
